Hurricane {Sandy} Essentials

I would have never thought living in Central Pennsylvania we would be so affected by a hurricane. But little did i know that Sandy was going to wreak so much havoc on my week! I am definitely not complaining about having an extra few days of cooking and relaxing with my mom and nana watching wayy to many chick flicks :)

Since i won't be traveling anywhere today with the 40 mph winds and down pour outside i decided to do a post about all of my rain essentials. You can never go wrong with a rain coat or scarf especially if it happens to be monogrammed!

I stocked up on lots of movies, popcorn, candy and comfy clothes to last most of the week! I plan on trying out a couple of fun recipes this week to so stay tuned to see how they turn out. I hope you all stay safe and enjoy some down time as Sandy does her thing!

With the weather getting quite chilly at night here in Pennsylvania i find myself dressing for it even during the day. I love nothing more then pairing a great skirt with a pair of boots that will work all day. Working at J.Crew has definitely been a plus to my wardrobe (not so much to my bank account) because i have been able to add timeless pieces like this skirt to my collection in multiple colors. So far i have three and have worn each color multiple times. The length is perfect because it is not too short or too long and an added bonus.. it has pockets! I definitely recommend checking them out at a J.Crew Factory store near you!

I paired this poppy colored skirt with a more neutral striped blouse to tone down the brightness of the skirt as well as added a quilted pair of boots that hit perfectly at the knee with skirts. I decided to go simple on the jewelry because i had to wear this to work.

I wore this outfit to run errands the other day and wanted to wear something comfy but with a little twist. I am really into pairing stripes with cheetah print right now especially with a cute pair of boots!

Today i ventured to baltimore with my nana to go to trader joe's and decided i had to wear my new polka dot shirt from J.Crew Factory. After doing roll out last week i was so tempted by all of our new winter merchandise and this shirt was a steal.

I have spent the past two nights working till 5 in the morning setting up our J.Crew Factory store with all of the new holiday merchandise. Well this weekend i went a little bit crazy at J.Crew. With all the sales at work at the factory outlet i was able to finally get the toothpick navy cords that i had my eye on since we first got them last roll out, as well as a few other goodies that made a nice addition to my fall wardrobe.
