I have to admit I am a huge sucker for lace! It is so elegant and timeless, you can never go wrong. I was so bummed after editing these pics that you can't see the lace detail on these pants. Guess I will have to wear them again soon..darn!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you had a fabulous day with your family and friend's, I know I did! I was so excited for it to start snowing when my family and I left for Christmas Eve service on Monday night, meaning we got to wake up to a white Christmas yesterday! I feel so blessed and truly grateful for being able to spend Christmas with my family, especially my brothers, since we rarely get to all be together.

Turtleneck {J.Crew, Here} : Dress {Forever 21, in stores} : Tights {Loft, Here}: Booties {Marshalls, recent} : Coat {Target, last year}

I have recently realized how fashionable turtlenecks have become this winter. I never thought I would actually own let alone wear one again but here I am rocking it for Christmas! What are your thoughts on turtlenecks? I would love to know!

I can not believe that it is officially Christmas eve! This year has flown by so fast and the fact that tomorrow is Christmas is just blowing me away! I have always loved Christmas because it is one of the few times of the year that my brother's and I actually get to spend time all together. Of course it is my favorite holiday for other reasons, I mean i love any excuse to eat make cookies, decorate my house, get dressed up, open presents and spend time with my family. Now that we are all adults and live in seperate states we don't get to spend as much time together as we used to as kids. We don't even care about opening presents anymore we just enjoy being together.

This quote is so true because love definitely fills the air on Christmas morning in our house. I love waking up with my family and just spending time talking and laughing and telling stories of when we were kids. I am so amazed and grateful for God's love and protection over my family and feel so blessed to have them safely here with me. Its a special day to celebrate the birth of Jesus and really worship and honor him for all of the wonderful blessings he has brought to my life this year. Each morning i wake up with an open heart ready to worship the Lord and tomorrow will be extra special.

On a side note I saw a few people on instagram the past few days that started doing the 26 acts of kindness and decided to start it for myself. It is a great opportunity for you or your family to go out into the community and help those either in need or less fortunate. It doesn't take much to make someones day better so any little bit counts!

I hope that you all have an amazing Christmas with your family and friends.

Christmas is officially right around the corner!! I am definitely a stocking girl! Every year my mom puts my brother and my stockings in our room in the early morning so that we get to open it right when we wake up! It is one tradition that I could not live without! I am always so excited to open it and see all the fun little things that my mom got me :) I decided to dedicate this post to a few of my favorite things that I hope to see in my stocking this year!!

This is going to be a short post today due to a slight disagreement I had with the sidewalk this weekend! Needless to say my face and hands are not doing so great and typing is not that easy! But I did want to share some advice that I am learning to take for myself.. the future is exciting! I feel so blessed and grateful for all of the opportunities that are happening in my life right now and it really makes me excited to see what the future holds. God has brought some amazing new people into my life and I am finally amping up my adventurous side! My advice to each of you is don't be afraid of the future God is doing amazing things in each of your lives and each day you get a little glimpse of his work!

Lately I have become completely obsessed with LOFT! I don't know why I never really shopped there before but I definitely make it a go to place when I go shopping now! I have found some of the prettiest pieces that are of such great quality that I keep going back! Not to mention they are almost always having some sort of sale so you always get a great deal. This shirt is a perfect example, I love the details on the top and the flowey nature of it. Not to mention it is flattering on most body types and it is not too heavy so you can transition it into spring!

I paired this shirt with this amazing new clutch I found at marshall's a few weeks ago! I love the mix of spikes + a pretty bow. I can't wait to use it for NYE in a few weeks! Thanks for reading.

This week I am really concentrating on knowing that everything happens in God's timing for my life. I am in the process of going back to nursing school this spring and am having a hard time deciding which program is best for me. I feel so grateful to have been given the opportunity to start sooner then I had expected and I trust that God had his hand in that for me! I was in such a rush to get back to school but as soon as I let my own vision go and let God take control and trusted that he would allow me to do it when the time was right everything began to fall into place! I have been praying daily to make the decision because I want to make the right one! God's timing is always perfect and I know that no matter what my decision is God already knows that what I choose is best.

Life is funny sometimes and it is not until later when your life falls into place that you can look back and really appreciate everything that has happened and thank God for everything you have gone through. As in the quote at the bottom of this post God will never put you through anything that you can't handle. You may not know it at the time and really question why it is happening but after you move on and get through it you realize why you were put in such situations and how much better of a person you are after the fact.

Timing is something that i'm sure like a lot of other people I have always struggled with. I will admit in the past I wanted things to happen at certain times and how I envisioned them to happen and i didn't want anything to screw it up. I was very selfish and didn't think about the consequences of how that affected my life as well as others, and trust me in the end it came back to bite me when everything fell apart! What I now know is how perfect God's timing is and how much trust I have placed in him because I know that he is going to make everything happen at the right time when it is suppose to happen!

My advice to anyone that is going through a rough time or really questioning if they are in the right career/relationship/location is to put your faith in God and know that his timing is perfect for your life. You may not know it right now but continue working towards your goals and know that when the time is right God will bless you more then you could ever imagine. The times that your life seems like its over and nothing is going right is when God is working the hardest for you. Keep pushing and trusting that God has an amazing plan for you!! So stop over thinking everything.. and start trusting that God will do great things for you when the time is right!
