WIW {Texas Weather}

Being able to wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt was beyond amazing on vacation! Don't get me wrong i love to layer in the winter but sometime's a girl just wants to throw on some shorts! 

This outfit is a perfect example of trying to branch out and mix patterns. Polka dots are very in right now and these Lauren Conrad shorts and so fun and playful, they mixed with the floral's of this shirt quite perfectly!

The next part of my christmas wish list has to do with a girls best friend..shoes. Shoes are one of my many weaknesses and I believe they can completely change an outfit. This Christmas my shoe list is all over the place! Each one of these are essential wanted in my collection. Its hard to say which i want the most but i would probably have to go with the Wanted dressage ankle boots! I do not have anything like them in my shoe collection and i know so many ways i would style them!

WIW {Thanksgiving Day}

I want to start off my saying that I definitely did not dress up as I usually do for Thanksgiving dinner. Being in Texas with my family I really just wanted to dress comfy and decided jeans and a shirt would do just that. This top from J.Crew has a thicker material so it really dresses up the shirt and was perfect after eating my weight in crab legs at brunch!

I had so much fun shooting these photos at our hotel as the backdrop proved to be so colorful and the weather was PERFECT!

Thanksgiving in {Texas}

Let me start off my saying i am so sorry for the lack of posts lately. I was very busy with work and getting ready for vacation that i was so hard to get everything done in a short time! Not to mention i got home from my vacation to my macbook not turning on!! Ahh i was so paranoid but luckily i was able to take it to apple yesterday and got a brand spankin new battery so i am good to go!! 

Now on to more important things i just got make from a VERY fun trip to Houston Texas to spend Thanksgiving with my older brother Ash and my dad and stepmom! We had such a fun time, it was nice to get away from the cold weather and get to spend time with my family. Houston is a gorgeous city and i definitely plan on visiting again some time soon!

This HUGE tree on market street in The Woodlands is not only gorgeous but at around 9p.m Christmas music starts playing and the lights on the tree light up to the music!! It was pretty neat eating outside at Tommy Bahama's when it started!! 

Of course we had to get a picture with the metal statue at the hotel!! 

We had brunch on Thursday at one of my dad's companies properties {Hotel Granduca} and it was amazing!! Imagine Thanksgiving on steroids!! It had just about anything you could imagine and i was definitely not complaining {plus it included bottomless mimosas..yumm}

Mustard has become a must have color for me this fall. I will admit I never gave it a chance before because I was afraid it was going to wash me out! But after finally trying it out I love it! Especially that it is not to bright but still add's color to any outfit. I decided to pair it with this awesome skirt I got from Paige 6 Boutique when I was visiting my best friend Jamie in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago. I am all for a cute skirt tights and boots right now so this outfit was perfect for a day of shopping.

A new coat + {cheetah & mint}

I am thoroughly enjoying the weather these days and could not be more excited to be wearing this new gorgeous coat! I have always loved coats and i will admit i have quite a collection to choose from. The second i spotted this one i knew i had to have it from the color to the collar it was perfect.

And as promised i decided to share with you a fun recipe my nana and i tried out yesterday! We made pie's in a jar!! My uncle is currently in charge of a base in afghanistan with the Army and because his birthday and thanksgiving fall right after one another my nana wanted to send him a care package with his favorite pie. She found this awesome recipe to make miniature pie's in mason jars! 

They turned out amazing (of course i forgot to take a picture after they baked) and i will definitely be making more of these for the holidays. I mean come on who doesn't love eating a piece of pie out of a mason jar?! I hope you all are having a fabulous week!
